在国半的IC中总有boomer audio amplifier，何为Boomer？

Boomer amplifier is noise-free

Electronics Times, April 2, 2001 National Semiconductor has announced the LM4867 boomer amplifier, a noise-free 2.1W stereo amplifier with headphone mode.

The LM4867 provides popless, clickless operation, which allows for no sound artifacts when the amplifer is turned on or off. This product is suitable for a number of portable audio systems, including notebooks, computers, personal digital assistants and desktop computer applications.

The LM4867 is a dual bridge-connected audio power amplifer which, when connected to a 5V supply, will deliver 2.1W to a 4 OHM load or 2.4W to a 3 OHM load with less than 1% THD+N.

It uses patent-pending technology to eliminate all traces of click and pops when the supply voltage is first applied. The amplifer also has a headphone mode sense input pin, which is used to switch the amplifiers from bridge to single-ended mode for driving headphones.
A circuit topology in the LM4867 eliminates headphone output coupling capacitors, and a MUX control pin allows selection between the two different customer-specified closed-loop headphones.

好像不是音响设备用的，和ｂｏｏｓｔｅｒ不一样，ｂｏｏｍｅｒ用于便携设备比如手机，ＰＤＡ．

有道理,他们也称流动工作的工人为 Boomer, 是不是移用到移动设备上.
